Gaulthier de Rigny - Painting- Step 2
Ciao a tutti,
Thanks to my friends Stefano Borin, Francesco Simoncini and Ivo Preda, I realised that the pellisse was actually dark blue and not green...
I had to repaint it, but instead of stripping all and paint from scratch, I've used a series of filters, washes and inks to turn the green to dark blue.
I'm quite happy with the result and it looks like the hue of the picture.
I've also finished the red trousers and started to outline all the gold embroiders.
Still a lot to do!!
I hope you like it and let me know what you think!

Gaulthier de Rigny - Painting- Step 1
Ciao a tutti,
Finally I've managed to do some painting on my dear De Rigny.
The face, undergarment and green fabric are done, I've also applied a basecoat for the golden laces and chevrons.
I'm really pleased with the results, hope you like it!

Gaulthier de Rigny - Sculpting - Step 4
Ciao a tutti,
Awful weather here, good for my modelling...
De Rigny is almost done, I need to add few bits and is ready for paint.
Doing all these thin laces has been painful but has helped me learning new tricks.
Hope you like it, and maybe tomorrow I'll finish it!

Gaulthier de Rigny - Sculpting - Step 3
Ciao a tutti,
I have to admit winter helps with my modelling!
Here is the De Rigny with his arms done as well as the sword (lengthened) and the shako.
I hope to finishe the hands by the end of the week, I'll finally be home this weekend so I will be able to work a bit.
Hope you like it.
