Ciao a tutti,

Questo post sarà scritto in italiano ed inglese.

This entry will be written in english and italian.

Sono lieto di lanciare ufficialmente, per il secondo anno, la campagna, "Passione per la vita".

Come saprete, se leggete il mio blog, ho scolpito un soldatino raffigurante un fante italiano, durante la prima spedizione coloniale italiana in Africa nel 1885.

Il soldatino è stato meravigliosamente dipinto dal mio caro amico Stefano Lancioni ed è ora pronto per essere acquistato da tutti voi.

Ciao a tutti,

anche quest'anno ho intenzione di rinnovare l'iniziativa benefica iniziata lo scorso anno.

Per quest'anno ho scolpito un soldato coloniale italiano con l'uniforme adottata durante la prima spedizione del 1885.

A breve il soldatino sarà spedito per essere riprodotto in metallo e rinnoverò il sito www.p4l.it dove potrete acquistare il soldatino e leggere tutto sull'iniziativa e consultare la storia ed uniformologia relativa.

Spero il pezzo vi piaccia e spero potremo, tutti insieme, rinnovare la splendida iniziativa dello scorso anno.

As last year, I've decided to start a new charity project.

This year, I've sculpted an italian colonial soldier with the uniform used during the first expedition in 1885.

In the next few days the soldier will be sent to be cast in white metal.

I will also renovate the www.p4l.it website, where you can read more about the charity, the history, and to be able to buy the figure.

I really hope you like the piece and that, all together we can do something good thanks to our shared passion.

Abbiamo distribuito tutti e 100 i soldatini e raccolto la ragguardevole cifra di 4066 euro che saranno consegnati in questi giorni.
Volevo esprimere a tutti voi il mio più profondo riconoscimento per la generosità e la sensibilità che avete dimostrato, soprattutto in questo momento non facile per l’economia che in maniera più o meno importante tocca tutti noi.
Spero di poter ripetere quest’iniziativa e sono certo che potrò contare nuovamente sul vostro enorme cuore.

I’m really delighted to announce the conclusion of the fund raising “passion for life/passione per la vita” www.p4l.it.
We have raised 4066 euro giving away the 100 available figures plus the painted master.
I would like to thank you from the bottom of my heart for your generosity and your kindness, especially in this particular period where the economic situation is effecting everyone.

Questo post lo scriverò in italiano ed inglese.

Come avrete letto nel post precedente ho creato uno figurino che è stato messo in vendita
al fine di raccogliere fondi per aiutare Maman Helene (Helene Alemusuey) per l'acquisto 
di una casa per bambine abbandonate a Kinshasa.
Cercando su un motore di ricerca  la frase "Maman Helene bana ya kivuvu"
scoprirai molto sull'opera che sta portando avanti.
Solo grazie al tuo contributo saremo in grado di aiutare le bambine di Kinshasa ad avere una nuova casa.

Su www.p4l.it potrete vedere le foto del master in costruzione e del pezzo finito, ma soprattutto potrete ordinarlo, ricordatevi che sono stati prodotti solo 100 pezzi e 50 sono già stati prenotati.


As you may have read in my previous post I've created a little figurine that will be sold to help raise founds for charity.
This year the funds will help Maman Helene (Helene Alemusuey) to buy an hose for the abandoned children in Kinshasa.
Type "Maman Helene bana ya kivuvu" into any search engine and you will learn more about her work for the children in the Congo.
Thanks to your generous cotribution we can begin to help the abandoned children of Kinshasa find a new home.

Ciao a tutti,

I've finally managed to finish painting the "marinaio", this is the master sculpture rebuilt and will be sold on auction to raise money for charity.

I missed the chevrons on the left arm and the writing on the hat ribbon.

Soon I will receive the finished figures and I'll be able to launch the website and start the charity project.

I will keep you posted, for the time being please let me know what you think!

I've sent the pre production pieces to the foundry, I hope I will get the final products by the end of the month, beginning of June.

I've also started to paint the master which will be sold on auction to raise even more funds.

I hope you like it and I hope you will buy one of the 100 copies, so we can raise money for charity.

Finally I've received the pre-production pieces to be casted.

Here you can have a look, I need to clean and polish them so they can be casted and be available for sale!

Finally I've finished the "marinaio" and is ready to be casted.

Have a look and tell me what you think.

But before this, let me spend a couple of words on this project and the scope of this sculpture.

I've decided to cast this piece and make 100 copies of it, still need to decide if in resin or metal.

Once casted, the figure will be given away for 30 euros plus shipping and ALL the money collected will be donated for a good cause, helping children in needs in Africa.

I will cover the production costs, WE will help someone less lucky than us.

I will create a web site and will let you know all the details, if you are interested, please do post a comment or send an email to azzara@gmail.com.

Once the pieces are ready I'll make sure you will receive yours.

Also, I will paint the master figure and sell it at auction, again ALL  the money will be donated for charity.
